Whether you require a single design consultation or have a single room make-over or a large project, we will ask questions and listen carefully to your responses regarding your project. The initial consultation usually takes about 2 hours depending on the size of the project we may need to take measurements and photos. Then we prepare a design plan and story board (if required) to present our final ideas and project cost.

You are in total control regarding how involved you would like to be in the design process. Some of our clients just need direction and are looking for our creative input and ideas for the home. They prefer to do their own research and shopping. Other clients want and understand the value of an effortless turnkey design.

2. How do interior designers work?

This may include furniture layouts and views of all walls which show window treatments, placement of furniture, plants and artwork. Colors, finishes and materials are selected as well as furniture, fabrics, lighting, plants, artwork and accessories.

The amount of time required depends upon the size and complexity of the design. A design plan may take from 2 to 6 weeks to complete. If all of the furnishings are custom ordered, the purchasing and installation phase usually takes 3 to 4 months. Again, it all depends on the size and complexity of the project.
