Our Story

Scott’s wife, Trina, has always loved children, which led her to teach elementary school.

Fast forward>>>

Trina’s beautiful, young, healthy mom, Carolyn, went to the doctor with a stomachache and was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The family and community of friends rallied with “Sweet Caroline” throughout her courageous fight. Thirteen months later, Carolyn passed, and the devastating loss had forever changed the family’s lives.

Trina began selling Aflac insurance (including cancer policies) and did so for 17 years. She also volunteered at the Aflac Cancer Clinic for Children for 13 years at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta/Scottish Rite Hospital. Trina was introduced to CURE at the Aflac Clinic and saw the immediate and future impact they were making in these children’s/families’ lives and got involved.

CURE provides families of cancer patients with food, gas cards, support and counseling. CURE supports research and development of better cancer treatments with less horrific side effects than traditional treatments, and CURE does so much more.

Through the years, childhood cancer has touched Scott’s heart too. Even though Scott has worked tirelessly building Flawless Painting since 2000 and Flawless Painting Emerald Coast since 2020, he gives generously -- not just financially, but with his time and acts of kindness. Scott has helped families in need with painting/repairs, providing food/clothing, planting a garden and a farm. He has helped Trina clean, organize and decorate the homes of cancer patients and provide birthday parties for children. Sadly, Scott and Trina have also attended many “Celebration of Life” ceremonies as children have lost their battle with cancer.

Scott and Trina attended CURE’s 10th Annual Believe Ball, where everyone joined together and raised $1.9 million in one night for childhood cancer! This inspired Scott and Trina to want to do more. As a result, Scott is committing a percentage of every Atlanta painting project to CURE Childhood Cancer. We welcome your support in raising awareness and funds to combat childhood cancer.
